Vaccine-Friendly Pediatric Care in Alexandria, VA
Let's get right to it.
Vaccines are not required to become a patient at Jennings Health.
We think parents deserve better than being handed a vaccine schedule and told, "Just trust us." We also don't think it's helpful to replace one schedule with another and tell every family to follow that instead. Our job is to help you understand the evidence, answer your questions honestly, and explain the potential benefits, risks, and tradeoffs. Your job is to decide what's right for your child.
If you ask us what we think about a particular vaccine, we'll answer the question. If you ask us to make the decision for you, you'll probably be disappointed. We don't believe it's our role to decide what level of risk is acceptable for your family. Good medicine doesn't require blind agreement. We think questions lead to better medical care, and informed consent means having the freedom to make informed decisions.
Jennings Health welcomes families regardless of vaccination status. We care for children whose families selectively vaccinate, follow an alternative or delayed vaccine schedule, or choose not to vaccinate. We do not stock or administer vaccines, so families who choose to vaccinate coordinate those through community resources outside the practice.
